Ingredients

Stovetop

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (raw and unroasted)

Oven

  • ½ cup sesame seeds (raw and unroasted)

Instructions

Stovetop

  • Place a plate next to the frying pan in advance. This is to transfer the cooked sesame seeds to in order to avoid burning them.
  • Add raw sesame seeds to the frying pan. Toast them on medium heat. Turn off the heat when they become golden light brown and start making a popping noise. It takes two to three minutes.
    That's it! Enjoy!

Oven

  • Preheat the oven for 350 °F (176 °C).
  • Place a plate next to the frying pan in advance. This is to transfer the cooked sesame seeds to in order to avoid burning them.
  • Place sesame seeds on the baking sheet evenly. No need to add oil. Shake the baking sheet every two minutes.
  • Remove the sesame seeds when the colour becomes golden brown. Transfer them to the plate and cool them down. It takes five to eight minutes.

How to store
First cool down the toasted sesame seeds completely. Transfer them into an air-tight container and keep them in a room temperature for 6 months.
